I've been busy this afternoon and have added a pencil portrait of my youngest grandaughter to my album - and she has her eyes open!
kind regards
Janet (I only needed the shove, thanks)
kind regards Janet
Cheers Dave, going to have to make the stretchers and pin the canvas to it first, they don't make a ready made canvas in this size.
Will keep you posted on the progress.

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I am honored.
I use different brands of oils but mostly Grumbacher and Rembrandt oils. I use the Alkyd or traditional type of oils. I have found that the Professional grade though a bit more pricey gives the best results and the richest hue's. I use the time tested under painting method. It allows me to build and shape the painting and tweak the way it looks as I go. I try to work from top to bottom, Back to front and dark to light when I do one but
I can't always conform to it.
Hope I helped to answer your question. Keep painting my friend you do beautiful work.
Claude
you are more than welcome.
by the way, those wirral cams are live 24/7 so if you ever feel nostalgic or just want to see whats happening on the Liverpool waterfront / River Mersey, you now know where to look.

Thanks for having a look at my acrylics. I did them both in my two weeks holiday when we went up to North Yorkshire. The first one took about four evenings. The steam engine took longer because I couldn't get the wheels right. It's my husband that wants me to paint the steam trains. He's a bit of an addict.
