What's your favorite medium (i.e. acrylics, watercolor, oils etc)?
drawing
How long have you been drawing or painting?
Just started!
Tell us a bit about yourself:
I am 26, I live in Bucharest and started drawing when I was little, but my drawings never reached the level which I wanted, so I gave up. After seeing Bob's videos I started trusting myself more and began to draw again.

I enjoyed viewing your work...the paintings and drawings are strong and the colors vivid. I will be anxious to see what you post next. Forgive me, but let me suggest looking up the american artist Georgia O'Keefe. Her large floral paintings which focus on the form of the flower might be beneficial to you.
I am an old retired teacher so forgive me if I still act like one on occassion.
You certainly have talent and I would encourage you to continue developing it.

I hope you had a nice weekend. Here it is Monday and it is a holiday. It's Victoria Day and everyone has an extra day off. There is a parade evey year and lots of baloons and fun for everyone.
Watercolour tips: well, I'm still a beginner with watercolour, but one thing to remember is to;
- use bigger brushes for as long as possible. If you use smaller brushes in a painting at the beginning, you put too much detail right away and it makes the painting look overworked. It loses some of the spontaneity a watercolour should have.
And also agood thing to do is:
- get to know how your colours mix and what combinations are useful to you. Colours can be mixed on the palette or on the paper. You will probably use differnet colours for painting your flowers than you would use for doing a landscape.
Best of all:
-Remeber to have fun! If something goes wrong, or a painting didn't turn out quite the way you hoped it would, it's only paper. It's okay to start again!
Thank you for your kind comments on the Delphiniums - they're one of my favourite flowers as well. But I've never had any luck growing them, so I thoughtt I'd paint them instead :)
Your irises are absolutely lovely - I love the way you've shaded them!
