Some of you may have seen this, but I felt it worth sharing again. This is not about politics, But about an artist giving to the families of heros. I saw this for the first time this morning and just sit and cried. I knew I had to post it. Kaziah is an amazing artist.
Her paintings of the older people in her community are fantastic and I could not stop looking at them.
Attached is a video of her painting and a link to her site.

Hi Victoria, fancy sharing a box of Kleenex,
as an ex-soldier myself I can appreciate what the families go through, and it is so good of Kaziah to put her talent and time to give them a permanent, and heartfelt thank you.

Pleased you shared this, it has given me pause to think and maybe just a little tear for some old army mates who are no longer here.

Thank you

Dave

That poor girl, has started something, that she feels she cannot stop,, she is no longer painting for sale,, but painting real men lost in battle,,and she needs help.. Her life as a painter has changed so dramatically, she is faced with painting the deceased soldiers, and sending home a memory to the soldiers' loved ones..

I have Never Ever, been so upset by art, as I have been today..
Thank You Victora, for sharing with us abt Kesia, for she is not going to be painting freedom ever again.. She can Never Go Backwards NOw,, and will continue painting in the name of those Poor Deceased Soldiers Families"

This is incredible footage..
Thank You Victoria..
I wish in some way Kesia would hear us cry that we are behind her every step of the Way!!! and if She needs help,, Some of us Sure Would Like To Volunteer to help Her..
God Bless the Poor Families of the Deceased Soldiers, and God Bless Kesia!!!!
Dawn

David and Dawn,
Thank you so much for your comments. This has been on my mind all day. What a sacrifice she is making for these families. There may be a address on her site. I hope she somehow knows she has support out here. She will be in my prayers also.

Dave, Thanks for finding that information. I also found out that the project is called:
Project Compassion Soldier and that 6 other artist are now helping with the work load.
God bless them all. Here is the address I found. It may be easier to send an email to the gallery you found that is representing her work. Which ever way it would be nice to let her know she has a lot of support for what she is doing. Thank you again..

I wrote a poem about the fallen. I would like to share it !!

The people who cannot say no to war.
Our Soldiers, who pay the ultimate price!

Running in the fields of Flanders
heart pounding to the drum beat
enhaling mustard gas unable to breath
watching friends go down and out
thinking what is this all about
hit in the head and no more thoughts

Landing on the normandy beaches
moving forward without looking behind
machine gun bullets flying past
wondering how long they would last
diving around, down and up again
trying to get from sea to land
stepping over the fallen full of fear
hit in the chest and no more tears

Walking the streets of Iraq
a young child at my back
sand in my eyes I cannot see
a loud bang and then my last breath
No more pain, now I am free

We were all soldiers who could not say no
we obeyed orders and did what we were told
we all payed the ultimate price
we never came home this was our sacrifice
never having the chance to grow old
