I can't paint realistic animals and I would be more than happy to turn this discussion over to anyone that can. Think about it. I started this discussion because I thought it was needed and I might learn something!

These oil painting are borrowed from my friend Karen Lathan. She's a member of our community and she and her 2 daughters are among the top wildlife painters in the world. Plus they're members of wildlife painters associations around the world. Her website is a must see. Just google Karen Latham and you will find it.

Welcome, I'm going to really enjoy seeing what you wildlife painter have to say because I can't paint animals and might learn something.

Hi Lynne, Yep they sure are. every once in a while I'll go to Karens wweb site just to sit in front of the computer screen with my mouth hung open. Besides her sales website she has a link on there that takes you to her studio where you can watch works in progress. It's pretty cool.
Of course before I go there I feel Like this
Then after I watch one of her videos I feel like this
