I love how you depicted her curly hair, Also your highlights. The only suggestion is with proportion, perhaps shortening the top line of her dress on the right side. A lovely young lady!
Hi Arty. What a beautiful sketch! You asked how to make the sketch better. You could make the pencil lines lighter ,not so hard in places ,like round the nose and mouth. With me being at art college
for the past 2years I've learned that when putting in the tones round the nose and lips, the tones are enough with very little lines lines here and there, To indicate the shape. This creates softness to the shapes like the nose and lips.Arty ,I hope this made sense. But got to tell you see is beautiful. And that you have done a very good job on her.
Nice sketch, Arty. What a beautiful woman. I would add some highlights to her hair (with an artist eraser) and very important, don't forget the sparkle in her eyes. That will make her come to life!
Hi all,
Thanks a lot for the prompt appreciative comments and helpful hints , especially the most important sparkle in the eye. This is what I like about this Network!
Will do the corrections and upload again.
The scanner is preset and I have to take help from my son to set it to normal settings- and hence the sketch looks darker than a pencil sketch looks usually.
