Thank you Mike for the lovely comment you gave my painting "A Slippery Street" Much appreciated. You have very good art here, I will be back for a better look. Hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving. Carol
Hi Michael, apparently it does work! Thank you for your comment. It is amazing. I did a lot of measuring because I knew it was going to be a gift, so I wanted to be sure it was right. So now I know I can draw.......if I am willing to spend 10 days and 30 or so hours...........LOL I was thinking I wanted a break from all the hard stuff the book was putting me though, so I thought the turkey would be a relief.......he he I am glad it is finally finished. Ro
I posted my drawing - Eastern Turkey. I still have posession of it, if you see anything I might try to improve it I still can make adjustments. I could not get the darks any darker. Ro
Hi Michael, apologies for the delay in replying but many thanks for your kind comments on my recent landscape experiments. I did these using my new pastel sharpening tool which is still in development. I still have a little way to go yet with my experiments but so far it has worked pretty much as predicted and has proved to be a huge time saver as well making difficult detailed areas very easy. I will post some more in a week or so when I have some more free time.
Best wishes
Gary
Michael, thank you for taking the time to comment on my "Barn" pastel. Gave me the opportunity to view your work and to see the wonderful watercolors you do.
All the best,
Karen

Hi Michael, Thanks for the kind comments on my painting, High Country Snow. Tom ask me about how I did the clouds, so as time allows, I am thinking about what I can remember as it was done in 1985. I thought I would try to send you a copy of the process when I send it over to Tom. I think you will enjoy hearing about a new process using WC and gouache.
My latest drawing is Man Reading a Bible by V.van Gogh. It turned out pretty good, but since we started the book, don't they all! My nephew handed me a photo of 3 male turkeys and ask me to draw it. Hum? LOL So, I am about 1/2 finished, but think I will only do 1 and not the 3 in the photo. It is turning out OK, but I am measuring everything to keep it in place. It has its tail all fluffed out, and the feathers on his body are all fluffed out so you have to draw many, many individual feathers.....quite confusing I must say. Then I am thinking of trying a drawing of our daughter and her (to be) daughter by Christmas. yikes Perhaps more than I can do, as I have not even drawn a person, much less a portrait of a particular person. But I will try and see what happens. All of this extra drawing has put the book on hold.
Where are you now in the book? Oh I had to skip the drawing of the real chair and the door & room as I did not have anything to look at, but hope to be in a regular house visiting that I might could draw.
Hi Michael thank you for your comment on my daffs.....your work is so lovely, light and fresh...Snowscene is my next attempt, just dithering on the composition.....
Thanks for your comment on my snowbarn Michael.. Your work is very good, lovely and loose...beautiful tones.

Hello Michael, Thanks for taking the time to look at my "Summers Gift" hibiscus painting. I have problems painting flowers and am happy with these. I looked thru your painting and like them very much. I have been painting watercolors for about 7 months and wish I could paint in the same style as your paintings. I hope it will come with time and practice. Keep up your excellent work.. Chuck
