A small success

If some of you think its not something that should be proud of, then I am sorry. But the fact is I am happy and a little excited about it. Just want to share it to you. Weeks ago, a jounalist of an art newspaper called me and told me that he wanted to report something about my painting. That moment I was some kind of shocked. Finished oil painting

I just finished my oil painting and posted the final photos. Just thought I should let everyone know that I will be deleting the rest of the "step/stage photos" by the end of next week. Hi everyone had to come to blogs as i couldn,t open pastel group,,,,ok,, what i wanted to tell you all is i have always used Derwent pastel pencils to finish off my pastel paintings,,but just lately have found them to be very scratchy on Velour paper,,so i looked to other brands and i am really pleased with the results i have had with Faber Castell Pitt pastel pencils they glide onto the paper and blend a lot better than the Derwent ones,,and no scrathiness at all from them,,of course they are a… Continue

Big Trouble

Hi All- Well, its going to be awhile for me to post some more paintings. I have a big problem!!!! My art room has been flooded by a broken pipe in my house. I'm devistated and heartbroken. A lot of my art work has been distroyed. We've had to rip out the carpet and I've had to go through all my things seperating the useable from the damaged. I feel a terrible loss, almost like losing someone special to me. I'm sick to my stomache. Here in Utah, we've had crazy snow storms for the past 3 weeks.… Continue

The last theme

Finally I have found my "Theme", everytime I have signed on I've wasted 3 or 4 min trying to find the combo that is me!! Well this is it, now I can concentrate on my ny resolution....I am going to paint and or draw every day (that's after the school hol's), as I am (with help) redoing (painting the whole works) my 15 year old son's room....he so won't be happy when he comes home...but had to do something...needed to be condemed. Guarapari ES, brasilian city with famous "health beaches" for summer vacations.

Some photos where me and my family used to spend summer vacations (december, january and february) since 1969 till today. A city full of peace and good people spending days resting, bathing and swimming in the sea and also getting a suntan. Amazing place. Good to relax, to read, to draw and paint, to swim, to ge healthy.

I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone else worries over not having the word copyright over their work? Some artists here, have it, some dont, I wouldnt mind knowing what others thought and if anyone had had any experiences where their work had been copied. Cheers Leeann Continue

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THING?

Hey everyone, I'm showing my ignorance here, so be kind, please. Since this came from Pat O'Brien's, I assume it's for some beverage. Since I'm not much of a drinker, I'm not sure if it's a glass for a lazy brandy enthusiast or a pitcher for mixing and pouring something else.
