- Hello my name is Debi.. and Ive been painting for a while.. I am a surrealist. I love lots of color.. and I lean towards drawing people. I have been teaching my 2 grandchildren 9 and 6 to paint also and their paintings will be in a show this weekend.They both seem to be good little artist.
I also am a children book illustrator and have done two books. The first one is called "The Snowman and the Owl and the Groundhog" and also "The Crocodile Song" which comes with a C.D.

I notice you have a few actual photographs of yourself and your grandkids (VERY cute and VERY talented). You probably know this by now, but photos other than artwork are not to be uploaded with the art upload feature. Instead, a better place to post them are in your comments or....better yet...in a blog post . Do you know how to add a blog post...it's one of the choices under the "My Page" tab. Really handy for posting 'anything' ... a journal, works in progress, family photos...whatever you'd like to share ....does not have to be art related.

Looks good sue and I am sure it was a pleasure to paint. I agree with Damaclese the shadow detail does not suggest and particular light source. His knuckles suggest light from above but then the gun stock should cast a shadow over his hand. Ho…
