Many thanks Carol for you kind words regarding my 'United' picture. It is very much appreciated. It didn't take too long to do once the basic design was worked out. It is based on a single drawing which is hexagonal in shape. (you can see this faintly in the photo at several places!). In the centre there are three heads/helmets pointing inwards with the Scottish flag on the breastplates underneath. On three of the points/angles of the hexagon there are three heads/helmets with the English flag on the breastplate whilst on the other three points/angles and sides of the hexagon there is only half a head/helmet and breastplate representing the Irish element (this is actually painted in gold but turns out a funny colour on the photo!!- probably due to the flash from my camera). I therefore did several hexagon shapes all exactly the same , then cut them out and joined them together stuck down on to a large piece of card (so that the Irish sides came together to complete each of those figures). I could have made a lot more individual hexagonal sections and therefore increased the overall size as it lends itself to go on 'ad infinitum'!!
