this is good, iv just started trying todo portraits and im finding it very difficult, iv tryed to draw Harry Potter when he was younger. Barbara

try boiling down brow onion skins and straining it and painting with it, this can also be used as a safe alternative to use to dye your easter eggs with, also boiled down berries can be used, or juice. smiles
Barbara...these absolutely beautiful! What medium are you using? Would love to try it sometime. :-)
Hi Barbara...this is absolutely gorgeous!
Food colours are great but they are light sensitive and will fade quicker than water colours. Painting with cocoa or coffee - I would try adding some gum or pva to inhibit mold growth. Certainly when dry, a fixative or suitable varnish can be used...

Ihave 3 grown up children and 6 grand children, I work full time as a child care officer with 14 to 17 year old teenagers with challenging behaviour.
I started as a complete beginner about 4 or 5 years ago, i enjoy learning and love to have a go!

Hello, Barbara,

I lived in a village north and east of Hull. I loved my year there and made some very nice friends. Fortunately, we have been able to visit back and forth. Wish I was painting when I lived there as I had a lot of time on my hands. Now I wonder why it never crossed my mind. There are so many beautiful places to paint.
