Hi Lori, I think this is just grand, I love the way you have done the squashes and the nobbles on them as well they look realistic and have great colour and shapes you have done so well with these so I will give you 20 plus stars well done Pat

I love fishing, but don't fly fish, I throw the bait in and then get out my sketch pad, one time I hadn't any paper so I took my waxy colored pencils and drew on a flat river rock, it turned out pretty ok,

Nice to hear from you :-) and thank you for taking a look and commenting.
I recently went on a holiday to Kerala, in southern India. The current st of drawings that I am uploading were all made during this trip. Many of them were drawn on location. However I have taken a large number of photographs and I will be using quite a few of those as reference for some of my drawings.
My normal style of drawing in pen & ink is very deliberate. Most places in India are hot, humid, dusty, and crowded and it is therefore very difficult to sit outdoors and draw for long periods. Since I was very keen to draw this time on location I have experimented with a quicker, sketchy style.

I like the atmosphere here. Since pastels aren't my specialty, I won't comment on improvements. I think what everyone else has said makes sense. The one thing I do know is that pastels seem easy to lighten and darken so revisions should work. BTW....
You might try checking a site called www.about.com they have info on most anything you can think of

I have just commented this picture and I don’t find my comments any more...I think I have to go to sleep. I just wanted to say that it looks fantastic. I like a lot the light in the trunks and the fresh colours that it has. Very nice!
