JANUARY Challenge: Snow and Ice Landscapes

FIRST: Paint your own JANUARY Program & Challenge: Snow and Ice Landscapes Have a look in your personal Photo Album, see if there is any picture that fits to this month's theme and, paint a picture using it as reference. Your creativity is all yours.
SECOND: If you haven't made any photo you can paint one of the reference photos . PICTURES NR 1 to 6 are free download from Microsoft but not sure if is possible to use them for commercial purposes. So please if you want to sell a picture made from one of this photos. Ask Microsoft first.

The Studio is for all mediums like Watercolors, Ink, Pen, Watercolors pencils , Pastels, etc...

The Studio is going to be a group that wants to paint from books that we have at home. We paint after Painters that have publish a book in all mediums like Watercolors ,Ink/Pen , Watercolors pencils, and Pastels and we paint from this ones using its demos, lessons, etc.. as reference. For example You have the Book from Hazel Harrison “ How to paint landscapes” and would like to paint with other I Draw and Paint members after Hazel Harrison book or Style, then this is the place for you.… Continue

The Spouses Ode To The Artist

She started painting on Monday,
Her strokes were going fine.
She forgot to thaw out dinner,
So we went out to dine.

She painted a seascape on Tuesday,
A lighthouse is a must.
It really was quite striking,
But she forgot to dust.

On Wednesday, it was a landscape,
She said the rocks are fun.
What highlights! What shadows!
But the laundry wasn’t done.

A new still life on Thursday,
With silver gleaming and berries so bright and red.
I guess she really was engrossed,
She forgot to make the beds.

It was a floral bouquet on Friday, January 02, 2009 In colors she adores.
It never bothered her at all,
The cat hair all over the floors.

I found a maid on Saturday,
My week was now complete.
My wife can paint the hours away,
The house will still be neat.

Well, now it’s already Sunday,
But don’t call me a saint.
I cursed #*!, I raved XXX!!, I ranted !!
My wife taught the maid to paint!
