Hi Tan Kar Swee. Can't fault it, lovely reflections. My only suggestion is perhaps lighting the still life from the side, to give it more form. So lovely to meet all your family in your paintings. Claire

I find great control by using a mechanical pencil, the graphite is always the same width.

- Tan, I check out your work and don’t let any one tell you that you are not a true artist because you are; most of us here on this site (that includes me too) strive to reach you artist ability. Also as a grandparent I to miss my grandbabies so much, they live here in Ca but I live in Southern Ca and they live in Central Ca. and we alone get to see each other ever three years. So we must treasure the time that we all do get to spend with each other.
What part of TX dose your daughter and son-in-law live in? In 1985 I moved down to San Anglo, TX and in the first year I hit my first twister. After it was over I looked at my husband John ( now x-husband) and told him I was go to walk until I found a phone that work and I was calling my daddy to send me a plane ticket back to shake and bake Ca. And he did. LOL

I agree with Turtle. However, remeber that limestone is basically blue/grey; the greens are usually impurities or growths like moss and algae. Although it is deposited in layers, it is eroded by water, so has lots of verticals and wavy strata, both…
