Liz Joy Elsworth said… Hi Susan, just checking in with you, I have seen your wonderful picture of the apples that you posted in the Acrylics group of which I am a member. I am very much looking forward to painting this one, but in preparation I have done a CP's sketch, would you mind if I posted that sketch as a contribution to the Coloured Pencils Group?
Kerry Heffernan said… Thank you for your comments Susan. I agree with you totally, atmosphere is extremely important. This painting is very different from my other work, usually I'm striving for realism, but this time I decided to lighten up and it turned out ok. Thanks again Cheers Kerry
Welcome, I highly recommend a journal. Take note of what CJ says, practice practice practice.
Read and paint every day. Practice on the old Masters then move on. If you don't have any formal training GET IT. That is if you are serious about it or if it will be a fun hobby.
thanks Susan, and welcome to the site!:)
