Tell us a bit about yourself:
I like painting for fun and I am self-taught. I like doing landscapes and my influences are Bob Ross, Bill Alexander, and The Highwaymen, especially Harold Newton. My Grandmother was an artist and her work hangs in homes and government buildings in Indiana. Also my son is a professional artist who has sold many works.
I think it is important to be creative in Life and to enjoy what you are doing whatever it is. Also, I always try to do something new and try to grow.

Beautiful tropical scene. Great colors and highlights on the trees. Bright sun, I think I need my shades.

Thanks Stanley for the wonderful comment on my Good day for Canoeing. YEs I still prefer oils but think with practice and helpful tips from great artists like yourself I can grow to like acrylics. Just thought it would have been easier than it was. Wasnt hard to paint just frustrated that the paint doesnt flow smooth like oils. I havent given up on it definitely will try again wetter paint this time. :)
Thanks again.

Sue, Looks good sue and I am sure it was a pleasure to paint. I agree with Damaclese the shadow detail does not suggest and particular light source. His knuckles suggest light from above but then the gun stock should cast a shadow over his hand. Ho…
