- I am retired and love to paint. I have tried watercolor, not very good at this medium as the colors get muddy. I am learning to use acrylic and oil now.

House fire
We had a fire in our house in July and we are now just getting back into part of the house. No one was hurt, it wasn't a large fire--got put out quickly because it melted the sewer pipe and the water put out the fire; had a lot of smoke damage throughout the house. I am trying to clear out my little art/computer room and checking to see if any paints, brushes & supplies are damaged by the smoke. Can't wait to organize the room so I can get retarted on painting.

I would like some help, some suggestions on my paintings. These are my first paintings, two acrylics…
I would like some help, some suggestions on my paintings. These are my first paintings, two acrylics and one oil. I know they need some help, but I do not know what exactly. I am not finished with the one of the rocks and river. I do not know how to paint water to look like a lake or a river flowing. I tried, but I am really not sure how to paint the water.
