Tell us a bit about yourself:
I'm a student of Computer Graphic Arts at a local college. Starting over a little late in life. A college student at 44. Just coming into my 5th year painting in acrylics, and I'm looking forward to building a body of work to one day exhibit, and I'd like to possibly be accomplished enough to do commissioned work. Maybe even teach? A personal goal. I practice constantly and have so much to learn, but it's an adventure that I have enjoyed.
I look forward to meeting other artists and sharing in the technical and creative processes.
Thanks for visiting my page!

Thanks Rich for your very nice comment on A place Imagined 2.As always I appreciate your comments.
I did the gesso technique with this one threw out the whole painting and I rather liked how it turned out so I think I may do that more often.
I just finished teaching another class on June 12 and it seems that the community college wants me to do 2 more classes later this year or early next year...so I think I will do a simple wildlife scene for that one.I have an idea for an eagle in flight on a 10"x20"canvas....vertical.
Well take care my friend and I will talk to you later.

Hi Rich,
Thank you for your kind words about my painting 100530(1) [the one with the church and dove]. I was a draftsman years ago so I guess that's why my buildings and structures look the way they do.

Rich, so nice to hear from you and I'm affraid to desappoint you but since my stroke I haven't been able to paint as I used to, but I'm working in a pastel that I'm about to finish, as soon as I do, I will let you know for sure! please do the same when ever you post something new.
Wishing you all the best, your friend =)

Hi Rich, Your comment on my painting was very much appriciated. I think you have mastered the script brush:) It is so frustrating the paint is either to thick or to thin. Your work is beautiful, you inspire me to practice more.
Have a good day my friend....Lori

Emma, Really lovely painting. The blues look so crisp and fresh, and you have still kept the petals looking delicate. H
