This is really, really nice. Your "wash of sun" is fantastic. My only comment is that I think a whiter highlight in the middle of the sun would make it sparkle even more, but that's just my opinion. Your contrasts are magnificent. Good work.
Originally drawn to watercolors, as my mother had done some when she was young. The medium is conducive to stopping and starting; just a little water refreshes your paints. I enjoy gardening, but am limited by back problems. Am retired from working in the health care industry for over 40 years. I also enjoy roaming flea markets and antique stores.

HI Penny thanks for taking time to come lok and comment on my owrk it is appreciated. The class I am doing had to have a collage piece so I thought about it and decided to have a go but i wanted to make it from my own art not just stick down stuff cut from materials picttures etc so I 1st did the back gound using copied sheet music torn up and layed down then I thought to add flowers by making them from dired peptles and the dried leaves I over ainted them with acylic gold and senna mix to age I cut out the musical note to finish the I though what can make this different I thought about the shoes and loved dagas ballet dancers so I was insoired to do 2 of his dancers to represent the old dncer the shoes used to belong to, next i did the shoes i then photo copied them to age them cut these out laid them on ot original work i then used a picture cut out to represent the new dancer all the work was seal with pva glue mis i added a little peach/pink glitter to the big shoes then when dry spray varnished it to seal it the story is true the girl grew in to the wrong shape to make a prima ballet dancer her friend was going to drop out too but she talked her into staying with it she did well out of ballet until she retired to have family the girl still has the shoes memories and dreams of what could have beeen now though have you guesses the girl was me? take care anne
Penny, you are doing so well. I like your interpretations, they are real and your colors and wash effects are just great. Keep doing, your talent is showing through.

Thanks, Penny. My cataract surgery in December followed two retinal surgeries earlier in the year. It was a great relief to be able to see again following that surgery. I have some permanent damage to the vision - but my sight is the best it's been since my first surgery in Feb. 2009.
