This is my childhood home, circa 1960s when my father built the 2 car garage with living room above. The painting was done for my niece, Polly, who remembers the house during that "era." She requested fall colors and I took some liberties with place…
Absolutely love them! The background is especially vivid with the purplish-violet shades against the yellow. Nice use of contrast. Overlapping gives depth to the painting, as well. Really, really nice! Penny

- Originally drawn to watercolors, as my mother had done some when she was young. The medium is conducive to stopping and starting; just a little water refreshes your paints. I enjoy gardening, but am limited by back problems. Am retired from working in the health care industry for over 40 years. I also enjoy roaming flea markets and antique stores.

- I really thought about that highlight in the eye . . . it was very tempting. But as I studied the light source, it seemed to me it was hitting the back of her head. I'm so glad you enjoyed the painting!
