Tom, I am sorry for not getting in touch with you earlier. It has been quite a time around here lately. I just looked at the last few of your entries. They are gorgeous, as always. (Including this one). Your Friend, Marty

Tell us a bit about yourself:
My husband and I are retired. I have a wonderful husband, 6 childen, 1 foster child (They are all grown now), 10 grandchildren, and 6 great children. My whole family is fantastic!

I dabbled with my art until I retired 2 years ago. Now I take watercolor lessons twice a month. This is the 2nd year that I have tried to sell my art. Still a novice in this area, but exciting. I have sold eight painitngs so far this year

I enjoy watercolor very much but I, also, want to learn more about graphite drawing, colored pencils, ink, water soluble oil, and acrylics. I started out with regular oil paints, which I love; but I now have COPD and can not handle the odor of the regular oil paints. Just bought water soluble oils, they seem to working for me. Hurray! ! ! If someone is using the water soluble oils, I could use some instruction with this medium..

Marty you brought back some not so good memories concerning water soluble oils. While I was at the university there was one professor who insisted every one use these paints in his classes. They were very difficult to learn to use. But it took time to learn their ins and outs. Those people who had taken his classes ( and they were very good artist) learned to use them..it just takes a lot of practice working with them. So stick with it and it will come. Just like everything else.
