- Approximately three years ago I started taking watercolour lessons and continue to do so, prior to that I had painted with a friend who was an artist and she was kind enough to teach me. I explored even further with acrylics and oils, I see merit in all of them. I find painting challenging, rewarding and relaxing. I have always had an interest in art and really appreciate viewing others pieces as well. I never cease to be amazed at some of the beautiful art that passes through.
At his point I am a member of several art groups and have been fortunate enough to have sold 22 original painting and quite a few greeting cards with my paintings on the front. Each one is a surprise. I have also given quite a number as gifts and a some donations as well.
I want to than Bob and all my friends here for helping me through this journey. My husband and family have also been extremely supportive and I really appreciate this as well.

- Marilyn- this is Dorothy and I havee not posted in a long time. My art is on hold as my husband is in a nursing home with very advanced Alzheimers Disease. I guess this group was not shut down on August 20th. Can you fill me in about what happened. I am glad we are still here. I see my husband just about every day and I cannot keep up with the chores at home.

Myself, I am going across the pond to Cuba towards the end of October with my grandchildren, they make half-decent cigars I hear. The Cubans not my grandchildren!!!!!!!

Debbie said… - hey Marilyn, thanks for commenting on my mountains....ummm that sounded rude lol....that pic is hanging up in my lodgers bedroom, dunno if he wants it there but tough lol....i'm still getting up to the same things my dear.....work work more work, not enough time to paint, coming on here when i can and looking at all the lovely work......yesterday when i went shopping i bought an airbrush, thought it looked like fun, can see myself getting into all kinds of mess with that....lol dont expect anything to be posted on here with that lol.....hope you are well, have a great weekend x

I perhaps would not label this "contemporary". Rather, it harkens back to very old Japanese stylistic painting. Its beautiful, but .....

This is really good . I really like this series... however I believe the police may develop an intrest in your Acer... or is that where the insperation for the colours stems from!!
