Hi Marilyn, the way you have done the leaves makes for a different painting the whole bouquet is going in a circle and it makes a very interesting painting, the background has a glow and the daffodils are really set apart with the glow behind them...
Hi Marilyn, Your welcome. I did a bit more to "Cousin Pat's Cat". just a little more shading on the gate and the plantpots and I have it ready for posting to her. She saw it via the net and liked it so I hope she likes it in the flesh as it were.

Marilyn, I am sure your friend will love this. It will surely help in her healing, and I hope she is recovering. I've never seen anyone approach a bouquet in this way. It's like they are doing a formal dance. Really lovely.

- I am married to a wonderful husband and have two children and three grandchildren.
I retired in December 2007 and have been painting on a regular basis since then. Prior to that I would meet periodically with a friend who also paints. I have now taken two sessions of watercolour classes am also working on Bob's Watercolour Secrets. Thanks to Bob and Phil for a wonderful and inspiring site.

I am trying my hand at oils now and I am not very pleased with the result. I am approaching it with a very nervous hand I'll need to be a bit bolder and just "go for it".

I do not know which latest painting you are referring to - but have been rather slow lately - not enough time to do everything and by the time I get home fm work I haven't got much enthusiasm for anything. The latest paintings have been rather too difficult for me, I struggled considerably and the feeling of uselessness has crept in. It's also been rather cold here - unusually cold winter for Australia, and the rumpus room is not heated - stupid excuse I guess.
