Can't wait to see the finished painting. He's going to be gorgeous. Wish I had your talent with animals. Tried painting my kitty and it was a disaster. Brenda offered to do a portrait of him and it came out very good.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I have loved artwork from my earliest memory. I always think of it as a gift I have been given - I have had no formal training.

I started with pencil work as a child and stayed with that for many years before I started to use colour.

I started with pastels and I loved them - I also paint with oils and some digital art too.

My passions have mainly been with painting wildlife and pets - any animals really!

My new love is acrylic painting. It suits my style of painting and isnt as dusty and messy as pastels.

Hi Lynne, just seen that lovely WIP of the grey shire and felt I had to see what else you've done.
I'm VERY impressed. You have a great way with animals.

Yes I know what you mean, David - maybe the painting needs a background effect cos I love the paper colour coming through the fur x

Hi Lynne getting slowly back to "Normal" I am the most impatience critter born. ;-) I can walk about half a mile and I can sit for 15 minutes...if I am daft enought to sit more than that my back starts to really pain me..so I have a timer and after every 15 minutes it goes off telling me to get up and move. That goes for standing still too.( I have grown to hate that sound) I have painted my first picture since November it was so weird and wrong leaving washes before they had dried, and my brushes..you know that feeling of your brushes "fitting" well mine don't fit anymore. I will have to play with then until they feel familiar again. Your dogs are just stunning, really characterful creatures. Is there no end to your talent? Hope that you are keeping healthy. xxxx

I agree with Turtle. However, remeber that limestone is basically blue/grey; the greens are usually impurities or growths like moss and algae. Although it is deposited in layers, it is eroded by water, so has lots of verticals and wavy strata, both…
