Tell us a bit about yourself:

Hi, my name is Annette aka Lou and I love art. Mostly all art but there are a few exceptions (I don't like to be shocked much)! I studied art at High School and that is where it stopped. Until now. . . I have been painting for almost a year.
Just recently I completed an online art course, and, I dare say if anything it has helped me to rid myself of my fear of art???
My plans for the future. . . . .to be accomplished.

It's funny that you mention my daughter's house today! She just had her first Open House today, and guess what!!! - She got an offer of $414,000! - She's asking $415,000!!! How about THAT!!! The lady who's interested has been looking for a house for 12 months, and she fell in love with this one. - I'll send you the real estate link, so you can see it for yourself..... This lady left and came back with her sister, so SHE can have a look! This should go into the guiness book of records for the fastest and easiest sale! - Though I'm probably jumping the gun a bit!
I could just imagine you wanting to settle at home for the holiday! - I'd do the same thing! - I'm such a ho9me body!

I'm still helping my daughter get her house ready for sale. - Painted the toilet yesterday, and second coat today. I'll also finish weeding, pruning, and re-building the mini stone edging around it. I've gotta get a skip in today to take away all the bushes I pruned. - They were up to her awning, and are now waist height, so there's a lot of stuff to go! Photos are being taken on Monday, so it has to look pretty!
I'm still finishing unfinished paintings. I just got up at 6am so I can pick up a paint brush again! - I haven't painted in 2 weeks, between work, my middle grandaughter's 4th birthday and this house sale. One day I'm hoping, things will be back to normal!
What's been happening with you? You must be settled into the new house by now. Have you started renovating yet?

I was given another commission a couple of weeks ago. - I still haven't done the 2 from January LAST year!
I've just started my weekend (Thursday, Friday), so I guess I'd better do something about it! - I've been getting SOOOOO many ideas for new paintings! - I've gotta catch up!
It's starting to get cold here now. I've put my electric blanket back on the bed!

I haven't been on the net for a while now, as my daughter is in the midst of a separation and it hasn't been going very well. - Pretty horrible, actually. So I haven't been able to paint for about a month now, and just had my first day at home for 3 weeks! - It was so nice to catch up on washing and grdening!

I couldn't imagine the sun NOT being on tap! I think it would seriously do my head in if I couldn't see it! - Not to mention my spirit!
I've just posted my Asian Still Life on this site! I started to set up another still life tonight! - I must be crazy!!! - The working title is 'Pink' !!! and I'd better get it out of the kitchen, and into my studio, so we can make coffee in the morning!

SO many people have been saying the same thing as you, and it's been pretty overwhelming! I've been feeling stunned and numb, when it's being talked about, and when I think of it! - Not at all pleasant, like I would have thought!!! It's like all the pain I've had actually painting it, is coming out the other end, but in a positive way and is too much to bear. - I must keep reminding myself that it's is actually a 'positive' thing! Lol!
Yes, you've been very busy all year with the new house. What sort of business are you setting up?
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could paint together one day, Lou!!!!!

Oh, so you've started another landscape! Is it plein air? I'd LOVE to paint them, in remote places, but I'm scared of strangers coming along and seeing them/talking to and distracting me/attacking me! - Gee, when did I become such a wimp!? I look forward to seeing your new painting!
Oh, thanks Lou!!!!! - You like my new painting!? Wait til you see the finished painting!!! It's almost finished now - I've even signed it, but there are a couple of things I need to change. I know I keep saying it, but hopefully tomorrow will be the day. I've had the most incredible response to it, on the Carder site!!! I've been absolutely blown away by it!!! 'anderson', who is a brilliant artist on the site, told me today that I've taken the method to a new level, and paintings like mine inspired her to do the Carder Method in the first place, and that my colours and values are the best she's seen!!!!!! I've been gobsmacked all day! She also said "wait til Mark sees it" - Meaning Mark Carder!!! (I think anderson is a site administrator.) Anyway I'm just blown away by the responses I've received! Watch this space!
Yeah - come and join me! I would recomment this method to everyone!
I've been awake since 4am and up since 5am. It's now midnight and I just can't stay up any longer. - I don't know how I worked today!
