What a beautiful painting this is. The boy's expression is very moving and your color palette is stunning. I took the opportunity to view most of your work and it is so very impressive. Karen

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I have now been painting and drawing for a few years as I rediscover what I loved long ago. Over the years I've had a few art courses here and there and still try to get educated when I can. I'm mostly self taught and hope to improve my work as I go along. Most recent challenge is learning how to mix and apply oils to canvas. 3/22/10

Indeed, very expensive but once you start using them you'll absolutely love them :) But of course other brands are good too, like Kuretake. I found only one brand of quality art markers that I really hate and I have only two of them - Letraset Promarker. They're horrrrrrrrible to me >_< They are sometimes taken for Tria Letraset but Trias have three nibs - broad, fine and brush one and they're much better (and a bit more expensive).
Good luck!

I love markers. I saved for a long time to get Copic Sketch markers and I can't live without them ^_^ But next time I'll get them will be in five years I guess, ha, ha, I have to order them from US (and they're very expensive, but worth their price), so I added to my collection some Kuretake markers and other brands available in my country.
Thank you very much :)

Malcolm, This is really good . I really like this series... however I believe the police may develop an intrest in your Acer... or is that where the insperation for the colours stems from!! H

Sue, Looks good sue and I am sure it was a pleasure to paint. I agree with Damaclese the shadow detail does not suggest and particular light source. His knuckles suggest light from above but then the gun stock should cast a shadow over his hand. Ho…
