- I am a writer in Kannada published 18 books.
I was working in a bank and took VRS IN 1999.
I do some social service.
I am married with 2 grown up children, both boys well settled. My husband is also retired. He is also a writer in Tulu language.I have a grand son who always appreciates my work and he aspires to be an artist.

That green ring is a Solar Flair that only happens in the far Northern region and they are called Aurora Borealis or the Northern Lights and they only happen occasionally.

My art instructor is very encouraging as well. I guess I have developed my eye for detail, and for color through other things I have done. My instructor tells me I'm a natural. - I'm glad you enjoyed my iris painting. I enjoyed your slide show. I especially like your figurative work, of folks in native costume. the painting that really caught my attention was the young woman with a basket on her head, and playing a musical instrument. Lovely.

I like the atmosphere here. Since pastels aren't my specialty, I won't comment on improvements. I think what everyone else has said makes sense. The one thing I do know is that pastels seem easy to lighten and darken so revisions should work. BTW....
You might try checking a site called www.about.com they have info on most anything you can think of
