Hi Judith,
I hope we can be friends here too. I like your work a lot but am not good at loose yet though I just love the style. Please als have a look at my post today and tell me what you think of the portrait.
Hi Judith, yes I saw you were on PMP. I don't spend as much time on here as I used to just other things getting in the way. Re Steve's accent, he reminded me of the way Steve Cram the athlete spoke hence my putting in the Newcastle area. My cousin who emigrated to Detroit in the 50's phones me quite regularly after we got in touch and he has not lost is Glaswegian accent, of course, some words are Americanised but I was amazed how much of his Scot's accent he had retained. He said that the words that are different like fawcett for tap and sidewalk for pavement are very accented because he picked up the "new" words as they were spoken. Ah! well back to the ironing for me Grrrrr. I would rather scrub a floor than do the ironing.
Hope you have a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Love,
Dorothy
Hi Judith, Just goodled for Steve Ormerod as I was really curious as to where he came from.
Burnley - Lancashire. So much for my guess at North East. Didn't want to answer on the group as I might turn it into a guessing game.
Hope all is well with you and you survived the gales - we did but my neighbours house lost some roof tiles and there is a garden shed in a garden across the way - don't know from whence it came.

Thank you, Judith :) May be I will paint another version with a more light top.
Hope you are having a creative period for painting. Last time your watercolours were especial loose and fresh. Nice style.
I took part in the Jean`s Challenges (August and September), you advised me. Thank you, I did it. My results were not nice because I can`t avoid details but I enjoyed :) Have a beautiful day. Elena
Understand being busy, life, work and etc! After reading your message I went back and looked again at your painting with a critics eye. I saw what you meant about the angle of the steps, but it distracts very little from the over all view. Are you going to post the rework?
Thanks Judith for you lovely comment on "Peony Rose" - much appreciated.
Dorothy
I've tried it Judith but it never works for me. Some people can make big wet splodges all over the paper and end up with a lovely dog or cat or flower. All I get is big wet splodges all over the paper!
I wish I could paint like that but it is beyond me - but you are getting there kiddo - keep at it - you're good.
Hi Judith,
Holidays? Myself, Elaine (wife), my youngest son and his wife, together with little 'Alfie' (grandson) almost 2 now, are flying out to C'an Picafort, because it's a relatively short flight for 'Alfie'. Never been to Majorca before, but seeing as how we were asked if we'd like to come along, we thought ..'Why not'!
I think maybe it's to give my son and daughter in law a bit of a hand with nipper. We don't mind anyway, besides we want to see his little face when he steps out of the hotel straight onto the beach, that's how close it is.
Our favourite holiday destination is Cyprus. We are thinking of going again 7th time, next year. We prefer the 'Protaras and Pernera' areas as they are so laid back and quiet. Not like the 'Ayia Napa'....pleasant in the day, but noisy at night. Good job it's only a short drive away from Protaras.
But if C'an Picafort is nice...who knows?
Derick.
Lovely loose paintings on your gallary Judith. I would love to be able to do that.
Terry.
