- Retired old lady starting a new hobby.
Im from the West country, my name is Jes, i like pencil, ink and water colour , ive been painting and drawing for nearly a year now. i am retired have been for many years, spent six months at a group art lesson for us oldies, for many years when i was a young woman, i sometimes doddled, but nothing came of any of it, so when the opportunity came up i jump at the change to join this group, i still go, but we have no teacher, just a lady in charge. so im glad for the opportunity to have joined this community.

- Jes...Thank you very much. I am glad you like the trees. I concentrated on getting the values the way I wanted, rather than the details of the branches and leaf clumps, and I too am quite happy with the result.

I do have some reference pictures from England that I would like to attempt, but nothing as yet with a central theme, such as this one which is related to this year's Tour de France route. I haven't forgotten your suggestion.
