Tell us a bit about yourself:
It all came as an inspiration back in January 2008 when I decided to paint. Somehow I knew that I could do it and since then I experiment with any material available. In August 2008 I took up drawing and painting lessons.

Thank you Loannis for your kind words on my last color study, Sunlight and Shadows on the Canyon Walls. I am glad you enjoyed the painting. You might also enjoy watching my blog on composition as I work my way through the book Composition of Outdoor Painting by Edgar Payne. Thank you for your encouraging words in regard to Jeffery. The portrait was quite the challenge, as I've never worked on such a large scale before. I think I need to get a few larger brushes before I tackle one again!

Thanks Ioannis for your lovely comments on my Snowdrops. Our weather here is bitterly cold and the country is practically at a standstill as we are not able to handle weather like this. Its worse in England so glad we are not living there.
Wouldnt mind some of your sun from Cyprus.
Cheers Maryxx

I agree with Turtle. However, remeber that limestone is basically blue/grey; the greens are usually impurities or growths like moss and algae. Although it is deposited in layers, it is eroded by water, so has lots of verticals and wavy strata, both…
