This was done from a photo from the Great American Dustbowl a migrant worker I believe? I love this photo and you've done a great job bringing to color. Nice work. Michael.

I have my coat, the salt air fills my lungs and I can hardly tell where the water ends and the sky begins. The Greens and darks and lights are so easy on the eyes and restful on the soul. So interesting to look aand see.

A Grove of trees at twilight....I really like this one, colors are so great but even more than that, I want to walk to the trees to look over the valley floor and watch as the day gives way to the night. Very well done!

I like this ... it invites the viewer to look in to it.

Hi Gary ... thank you so much for commenting on some of my pictures ... I am just so pleased that they inspired you to imagine you could actually be there! I have enjoyed taking a look through your artwork - the faces of your people seem to convey how they are feeling, and I particularly like 'hearts can suffer' ... just something about it really speaks to me. Kindest regards, Carolyn.

i am speechless..i thank you so much for that indepth comment, and am moved deeply by it..when i was a kid, the only thing i ever wanted to be was an artist..to have people look at what comes out of me, and always enjoy it..i wanted to be original..and from what you just wrote, i am just beside myself right now...coming from another artist, that means a lot to me..thank you

Hey Gary
Just been having a look at your artwork. Its a brave man that works with ink. You have a wonderful 'style' that I think would suit illustrations. Love the real people and the interiors. Great stuff.

I perhaps would not label this "contemporary". Rather, it harkens back to very old Japanese stylistic painting. Its beautiful, but .....
