Hi. I love all aspects of art. I've always painted things as I find it relaxing, you know, designs on furniture etc. . However, I've never done an actual "painting" as such, until now. I've nearly finished my first. I've never been to art school, yet I always excelled in art classes at school. I think I have the basic understanding of colours, shadows and proportions, but I still don't have much confidence, especially after looking at all the amazing art here. I'd welcome any comments or tips. I need all the help I can get.
Gabz, I am so sorry, I dont mean to seem rude. I've just moved, am trying to get my place set up, and just now seem to be managing some sort of social schedule. Thank you, and please bear with me a little bit longer, thx.

Thank you for the invitation on the other site. I think your work is wonderful and some of what I see in others is also amazing, I hope I can be half as confident as you are. Again, Thanks..'b'
I hope they don't build any huts in front of Mt Schank, it would ruin the view!
How's it going? Hope you don't have a bad hangover today, I managed to stay sober this new year.
All the best
Glen
Thank you Marsha,
Very kind from you. It was more work than what I thougth at the beginning. and the foreground was a real challenge but i think I hae manage somehow.
Thank you again
Maria
I like the atmosphere here. Since pastels aren't my specialty, I won't comment on improvements. I think what everyone else has said makes sense. The one thing I do know is that pastels seem easy to lighten and darken so revisions should work. BTW....
