- My father was an artist and I learned technique from him when I was very small. I've always drawn but never had a lot of time for it when I was working and raising kids. I'm now retired. I have time for the things I like to do best, including portraits.

A FRIEND GAVE ME THESE LITTLE DANCING GIRLS AND I LOVE THEM. NO MATTER WHAT MUSIC IS PLAYING, THEY SEEM IN TIME WITH IT. THEY JUST HALF-TIME OR DOUBLE-TIME IT AND NEVER GET TIRED. WONDER WHAT KIND OF VITAMINS THEY TAKE. ;-)

TEXAS BLUEBONNETS
I was out again yesterday, shooting Bluebonnets. My understanding is that they're not indigenous to this part of the country. They may have been brought here from the east coast of the U.S. or somewhere in Europe. But they're now the state flower of Texas and don't ever argue that point with a Texan. Again, if you'd like, these are free to use as reference.

NEW REFERENCE PHOTOS
Yesterday, my long-time friend, Roberta allowed me to wander around her yard with my camera. It's an azalea paradise right now. I have more but so far, I've edited these.
If anyone would like to use these for reference, feel free to use them.

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS THING?
I'm showing my ignorance here, so be kind, please.
Since this came from Pat O'Brien's, I assume it's for some beverage. Since I'm not much of a drinker, I'm not sure if it's a glass for a lazy brandy enthusiast or a pitcher for mixing and pouring something else. Since I'm not using it for either of these, everyone around here asks me why I want to know.....if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just curious. PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU KNOW!!!!!!!

- Hi Fran, Hope you have good weather thru to the end of the year. It's beautiful here in N.Jersey today, about 60 degrees and sunny, but we lost all our leaves last week. It was so nice that you took your time to remark on these works, I really appreciate that.
