Well,I have three children (two teens and a younger child) - I am a believer who loves Jesus with all my heart - I thank Him for all He has done in my life, Im a very blessed woman.
Almost 6 years ago now (where has the time gone, the years have gone by so so quickly), my husband passed into heaven from a long battle with cancer - it taught me so much about Jesus - He held me close, through it all. I have a much deeper appreciation now, of just how beautiful people are, and life can be.
Im self employed (umm I wash windows lol - just call me the wonderwindowwasherwoman).
As to art - never had formal training in art but was enrolled in art school for one day - and lasted one hour, at age 16 - so much for that! I was promptly thrown out by the art principal who told me I had no artistic talent, to pack up my things and 'go home'...... so, I did (with my tail between my legs lol) After that, I was tooooo scared to enroll in any lessons - one eviction was enough for me So, every now and then I practised, quietly at home, in cafes sometimes, studying peoples features and faces. I love portraiture, which Ive done in watercolours, a little bit in oils and pencil and charcoal sketching. Ive not really ever been able to indulge myself much in my passion, but as my children are growing older, I wanted to start making inroads into developing my art more. Looking around this site Ive been so very encouraged to keep on practising and painting.
......... and my latest insight ? - the more I am learning here on this site..... the more I realize I need to practise continuously and push myself out of the comfort zones. Im starting to appreciate more, all the different forms and varieties of art - its been such an exciting learning curve for me.
I am so indebted and grateful to my friends here whom have been so encouraging and good to me, helping me along the way.. Thankyou to all. :)
God bless each and every one who stumbles across this page, and I pray that Jesus brings to your life, as He has, to mine.
And here is some blonde logic :) ........ once you know something, you cant, not know it.
:)
Eli, thanks for your comments on "Drawing Rose". Very much appreciated. I've looked at your work and it's great. Sometimes our talent is hidden inside and others don't recognize it until we open up a bit.
