- I started painting seriously in 1980 alhough I had been drawing all my life. I was originally a water colour artist painting landscapes. In 1984 I discovered the pastel pencil medium and devloped the techniques that have become popular with pastel artistsaround the world that were interested in more detailed work. I am married with 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Now semi retired, I enjoy golf, reading, old radio programmes and old western films.

- Well as you can see below,thanks to your hints and tips DVD I have now done my first ever Pastel painting. The Faber-Castell Pastel Pencil's are realy good. I want to paint one of your animal pictures next. Thanks for your guidence on your DVD Colin .

- Hello Colin.
I got got a tin of 12 Faber- Castell Pastel pencils for christmas and your Tips & Techniques DVD which I have already seen now and think is brilliant .I am now raring to start my first pastel picture .So I will watch some more of your demo's here and then get cracking.It's all thanks to first seeing one of your demo's on youtube.
