Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hi I was a member some time back but have been ill for quite some time, anyway i am fit and well now so here i am . I have been painting for about 16 years now and still learning. From 1998 to 2002 i painted watercolours and some oils for a gallery in Yorkshire and the quickest painting to be sold their was in the window for only 6 minutes , but it only happened to that one. I am self taught watercolour artist and i also now teach raw beginners in watercolour landscape painting, and I have recently taken part in watecolour demonstrations. I am a member of the Baildon art Club in Shipley Yorkshire now at the Kirkgate community center. My favorite medium is watercolours but i also paint in acrylics and oils, but nowadays it is nearly always watercolours

Hi Colin, thank you for checking out my wip2. I appreciate you doing so very much....As far as it being something special, that's a wait and see. I have a yard that's been screaming for a manicure so I don't think I'll get to work on my piece this week. Maybe the weekend. It was too hot to mow there for a while, then rain came and I couldn't keep up with it. Hard to keep up with a yard bigger than a football field with a push mower, it's on a slope to boot.
Wishing you a great week Colin!
Hugs...Cheryl

Thank you Colin, you have a wonderful gallery of landscapes yourself. All very nice too, a unique style . I'm still learning, started watercolors 6 months ago, ventured into other media,at times with disastrous results. Guess I like doing it the hard way LOL

Hello Colin,
Thank you very much for taking the trouble to look at my work. Yes, this is a wonderful part of the country, Forest of Dean. in Gloucestershire, and the natives are friendly.

Hi Colin...I too have a lot of things I either blame on age or MS so I'm right there with you! I love those old stone bridges over there. Many of the ones built in the US hundreds of yrs ago are starting to disappear and so sad! You do beautiful work!

Colin...thanks for the demo! That is really cool the way you did it too! Maybe another some time on how you scratched out the stone bridge? And I think your comment on my page was for someone else! lol I did comment on that same painting though!

Hi Colin, thank you for having a look and commenting on my work in progress. I appreciate it a great deal....I haven't painted on it since I've posted it. Truth be known I haven't really spent a whole lot of time on it. I have gone a week without putting my brush to it. So, it's a slow work in progress....I checked out your blog and you've done a fine job showing how to paint water in a landscape. Your next one will have to be on how you paint your trees the way you do. They are just beautiful.
Have a great weekend Colin!
Hugs...Cheryl
