- Mother of two, 22 and 17, have lots of dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. Started painting 6 years ago, because my daughter took classes in high school and I wanted to try. at first I painted from imagination , about 3 years ago, I started painting real things from photos or stills, about a year ago, I seriously started drawing everything I could, I am happy with my growth.

Laura said… - Thanks Cindy. I agree I think it is my best and that is because I'm not necessarily thinking loose now. I'm thinking 'me and my style' and this is obviously showing up in how I paint. I've started a blog recently which is great fun and I will let you know the link when I get it up and running. I'm hoping it will give me more focus to concentrate on my work,
done my way. It will be like a diary in watercolour and it doesn't really matter if no one reads it, it purely is for me and it sure is fun doing it. Your work is looking great these days and that too is because I think you have found your way with all this. Take care and speak soon. Laura x

She sure is a cute little critter. I didn't have the right colors (or wasn't successful in blending them), but I do like her anyway. It's done in Derwent Colorsoft pencil on 9 x 12" drawing pad paper.
