Adam,
I notice when I checked a few moments ago in "My Groups", "Pencileers" is still there.
Please now also delete my name from the group. I wish to leave it.
Thank you.

Another nice job Alena, but my favourite is the second last painting you did of "Yarra Valley" in Victoria, the one with the walking track, hills, buildings and fence. But moving on.....
l like the reflection effect in this painting particularly....
An absolutely stunning piece of artwork. The ground effect, of the ploughed soil, is excellent, as is the accurate depiction horse and it's accoutrements. Obviously, many hours have gone into this work, and it shows. Congratulations.

Hi Alena. being a former country boy and still loving the Aussie bush, I can just imagine myself walking down this track, and glancing right over the wire fence through to the buildings as I make my way towards the hills. I love everything about t...
Yikes, not the one you just posted the other one, with the fence posts, sheep and road, I have this book the weekend artist and it almost has an exact copy of the picture, that is so strange, if I ever get my scanner working I will scan and post it to show you. Very strange indeed.
You arent lost you are still there, as a matter of fact I suggested you post the one you placed here yesterday in there for comment.
By the way, strange thing happened to me yesterday afternoon, I went to michaels the art store here, and bought a few books without looking through them and lo and behold almost an exact pic of what you posted from a book was there, lol funny huh.
In anycase nope the change of the site didnt effect us at all.
Thanks so much for the comments. You're right. I really do love those pencils. I've always wanted to do just watercolors, like the frosted glass one but couldn't quite get it. With those pencils, you have so much more control. I think I'm getting there, the long way around.
The sunset is from one of my brother's photos. When I take photos, I just shoot like crazy, then crop them. He sets them up, as with the tree framing it. Between he and two friends, I have a constant supply of material.
I hope you're doing well. I see some new work you've added. Gotta look. Have a great week.
I am also in Sydney, Hornsby.
I do not have tuiton either. It is difficult to find a tutor whose style you really like.
However through combined Art Socities, they organise once a year 3 days workshop at Merroo Centre in May and you "paint till you faint" 3 days with various tutors. This is invaluable learning and from what I learn I live for the rest of the year. The ID&P community has been wonderful for me, it gave me the incentive and the push to paint and keep at it.

Hi Martin, came on over to say a big thank you for your lovely comments on my heron painting very much appreciated and for the great comment on the water I always believe that the water is a shambles but I am getting there so I am pleased with you...
