Just to give you a heads up I am the new administrator for "Animals Group" and I am have trouble with Ning on this site. Dear Ainslie, Thank you very, very much for your explanations. You obviously know what you are talking about. I tried pastel bars at one time, but found the resulta rather smudgy. Obviously the pastel pencils must improve the details and the idea of fixing the different layers is fantastic. Never tried that!! :-) What pencils do you use? Welcome to this site by the way, I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I do.
