- Just to give you a heads up I am the new administrator for "Animals Group" and I am have trouble with Ning on this site. Obviously the pastel pencils must improve the details and the idea of fixing the different layers is fantastic. Never tried that!! :-) What pencils do you use? Welcome to this site by the way, I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I do.

Looks good sue and I am sure it was a pleasure to paint. I agree with Damaclese the shadow detail does not suggest and particular light source. His knuckles suggest light from above but then the gun stock should cast a shadow over his hand. Ho…
