Scottish Lass
Acrylic on 11" x 14" gallery wrap canvas. This is from a photo of a friend who recently passed away - I painted it for her husband and am quite pleased with the result. The skin looks a bit pinker than it was painted - my photography skills need help ! I loved painting this one and was able to finish it in just 2 days. Still learning how to do portraits and loving it !

I perhaps would not label this "contemporary". Rather, it harkens back to very old Japanese stylistic painting. Its beautiful, but .....
