Hi Margaret,
You have so many nice pieces here, I didn't know where to begin. But this one just caught my eye -- I love the colors. It is a lovely tranquil landscape.

I like the atmosphere here. Since pastels aren't my specialty, I won't comment on improvements. I think what everyone else has said makes sense. The one thing I do know is that pastels seem easy to lighten and darken so revisions should work. BTW. I like the house tucked into the hill.

Very nice pastel work, only I would have also added some of the whiteness in the sky in the reflection as well. Also as an object or scenery comes closer to you the tonal value darkens, like the grass should be toned darker at the bottom of the picture and go lighter as it goes into the distance, this gives the painting dimension, same goes for the two larger mountains and the sea in the background. Very nice scene Carol

I perhaps would not label this "contemporary". Rather, it harkens back to very old Japanese stylistic painting. Its beautiful, but .....
