Thanks so much Lucie ... I didn't do this lesson 100 % as Bob's instructions, but created my own version, I feel makes these lessons more personal and individual, but the concept of the lesson is there. Showing direction of light, reflection, using a sponge for foliage and masking.
You made a success well of this scene because I saw it several times on the site and I find that you achieved this watercolour. Your trees are great and I find your excellent foliage. Trunks are shaded well and very well integrated into the ground with the ramification of the roots which goes into the earth. Your elephants are beautiful. The pond of water is magnificent as well as the cliffs which the entour to decorate your bank. I shall finish my analysis by a petit point which I find who misses, it is of stressed shades with regard to the light where from it comes. Because for me with all the positive points of your painting I give you 5 stars
Malcolm,
This is really good . I really like this series... however I believe the police may develop an intrest in your Acer... or is that where the insperation for the colours stems from!!

Tom,
Another good ballerina painting... you have helped me make up my mind to correct my last "ballet" horror. I hope I can get as good results as you.

Sue,
Looks good sue and I am sure it was a pleasure to paint. I agree with Damaclese the shadow detail does not suggest and particular light source. His knuckles suggest light from above but then the gun stock should cast a shadow over his hand. Ho…
