When this map was made up, Texas was added as a southern state because although it is west of the Mississippi, technically putting it in the west, it has all of the charm and history of the old south as well, making it one of the most unique and beautiful states in the US.

I live on the border of N and S Carolina...on the water. I could entertain you to the Outer Banks of NC and Myrtle Beach and Charleston SC...type them in your server bar.to see about..Also we can tour and go abord the THE BATTLESHIP NORTH CAROLINA ...ALSO LOOK UP..brookgreen gardens sc.

My home is small but comfy...I can put you up..Please help with food and gas expense....I expect then an exchange arrangement.

If you are visiting Middle Tennessee stop by and see us. We can show you the beautiful city of Nashville. If you like Country Music there is the Country music Hall of fame, the Grand ol' opry and you never know who you may run into walking around town. There is the Opryland Hotel, the most beautiful hotel you've ever seen. Civil War battlefields, Antebellum Mansions, A ride on the the authentic paddle wheeler River boat "General Jackson" for the dinner show. And more!

If you are interested in attending a unique weekend of painting with alot of other artists in various stages of learning and ability, I have just the thing for you!
In 2006 a friend and I started having yearly weekend seminars for artists. She had the first in Denver Colorado and has had one yearly in June since then. I have mine in the small town of Fayetteville Tennessee in September.
The seminars are totally not for profit. You sign up to come and you pay a $25.00 fee to reserve your chair at the weekend. That money is used to purchase all the paper supplies and things like table coverings ets,to rent the facility for the seminar and the balance is used to purchase painting related door prizes.
Various artists vollunteer to do demonstrations of their art in which we all participate. That artist supplies the surfaces and any speciality paints that may be needed and written instructions for the projects for each person at the seminar. For all that they can charge up to $5.00 per person for the demo. This is to simply reimberse them for ther surfaces and paints.
Wer generally have between 9 and 12 demonstrations. We do our very best to make sure the accomadations are discounted and do all we can to make meals very inexpencive.
We always bring a gift bag with painted gifts or painting related items in them for a gift exchange. It is a wonderful time and the tips and tricks of the trade are flying around the room all through the weekend. Some of us paint in our rooms together half the night or stay in the painting site till the wee hrs of the morning. We have never had a artist leave unhappy with the weekend. They leave with many great memories, a few new ideas and tricks learned and many new friends.They are always refreshed and inspired to paint paint paint!!
Not certain if there are rooms at the Lodge left but the BestWestern is only 6 miles from the Lodge. It is being held in a new Bed and Breakfast in a beautiful Hollow in the foothills of Fayetteville. All our meals with run us $55.00 per person for the entire weekend.

The dates for the Painting With Friens Weekend in Fayetteville Tennessee ( PWFW) this year are September 26th, 27th and 28th. The 28th is my Birthday ,so you know it will be a special day!! Yea!

Fayetteville is a quaint little town with lots of antique shops and lots of Southern hospitality. Huntsville Alabama is just 30 miles south of us and has much to see and do and many fine resturants.

Yeh!!!!!! I met with Micki, and we were only supposed to meet for two hours but it turned into 4. what fun we had, an enjoyable day and a great experience. I would highly reccommend it, if you get a chance to meet up with fellow idp's that you take the time and a little trouble to meet. This was an experience I will not forget, plus I have another life friend. I will post a picture in three weeks as I am on vacation in lower Florida, The sun is wonderful! I went on a long motorcycle ride today, swam in a beautiful pool, and topped it off in the hot tub. Happy New Year to all. Rita
