Delete Lady is gorgeous Angus! The only thing that I thought I would say is that the eye looks a little flat but that can be easily fixed by fading the colour as you go down the eye & that will help to make it look more rounded.

Delete Hi Angus -- two very nice pieces of artwork. May I suggest that you always provide the media and size of the artwork...it really helps viewers to visualize the original and to make the correct type of comments.

Love the action in the polo pony scene...the structure of the horse is quite good. The near man has a very short calf, though. I think it would have been better to have included the feet of the near pony...or cut off more and had that pair nearer....it's got a 'in between' feel the way it is now (or like you cut off the bottom of the painting. Was this done in pastel?

Lady is also quite nice... I do think the (base of) the ears are a bit far back and I'm not sure about the 'curly' hair between them on the top of the head..but I'm not sure what breed she is (sheppard?) Is this one in colored pencil

Nice pictures though..both of them

Delete Hi Angus

I love both subjects, I have horses and german shepherds so may be some help. The is fine as far as I can see and I agree with carolyn about he eye. The horses are very good but to be hypercritical I would say their front cannon bones below knees are slightly long but the rest of the painting is first class-well done
