Have received a comment on my wall from a Cristina Simon requesting my email address, and stating she wanted to send pictures of herself and "get to know me better." I have gone to her page - there is no art - I warned her that her activity was considered spam on this site - comments do not appear on her wall as she has chosen to moderate comments.
Here is a link to her page.

Permalink Reply by Eleanor Barlow on February 7, 2012 at 3:00am I also had the same message, asking for my email address. so I sent her a message saying that I would not give it to her and she could send a message back. To do this I had to send a friend request with the message. Interestingly enough, there has been no reply or acceptance!!
Thanks for making this public Mary, I am new to the site and not sure how to work it all yet.
Always be suspect of someone asking for your personal information - unless it is someone you know well.
Permalink Reply by Wayne Goronzy on February 17, 2012 at 9:31pm Good advice Mary but your message should say "Always be suspect of someone asking for your personal information - End of Sentence" Some one you know well will know some limited personal information such as home address, email, birth dates, etc, but if they start asking about personal information regarding bank accounts, bank card codes, Social Security or Social Insurance Numbers, things of that nature, you need to put a stop to it and evauluate what is going on.
Because you know someone well does not mean they are not out to do harm of some sort. Everybody has secrets. Everybody. It is just some secrets are more dark than others.
Cheers,
Wayne
PS: now what Bank did you say you deal with? Lol.
You are of course, correct Wayne. Myself - I am WAY to gullible.
